Croydon Writers’ Circle founded 1945

This friendly group of writers of varied experience meets twice a month with the aim of supporting each other’s writing aspirations.

Our main meeting is on the second Monday of the month at The Clocktower, Katherine Street, Croydon when we usually have an author, scriptwriter or publisher giving a talk.

On the fourth Monday, we have our ‘Word Factory’ which takes place at the United Reformed Church Hall, Addiscombe Grove. Here members can read their work and receive constructive criticism, advice and help with markets. We also hold several writing competitions each year.

Visitors are more than welcome at both the main meetings and the ‘Word Factory’!
